To All of Our Toy Loving Friends,
We would like to thank all of the exhibitors, partners, volunteers and of course, attendees who came out to support the first ever Octoyberfest show.
We saw around 500 attendees and raised $800 for Kerry's Place Autism Services, mainly due to our extremely generous item donations by our exhibitors for the hourly prize raffle. Thanks to VGX, Toronto Joker, Spirit Halloween and Happy Worker for assisting in running various competitions (video game tournaments, costume contest and custom figure contest). Winners of our custom figure contest will be announced and a photo gallery will be posted shortly. Furthermore, thanks to Nicole Bontoft and Unplugged Expo for providing additional fundraising help with the Geek Photo Booth and Sword of Omens photo ops. We further appreciate the fine folks from the 501st taking shots from the cameras and at the Blaster Range, your commitment to create an awesome fan experience and helping worth causes is truly an inspiration! Our show exclusive custom figures were hits and we thank both Mast-Er-Custom and Mego Ed for their efforts to bring these instant collectibles to fans! Huge thanks Boston Pizza Vaughan, Dave & Busters and Canadian Toy Con for their cross promotional efforts and finally and certainly not least of all, the Canadian Nerd Show for providing us with pre-show event coverage and ongoing support!
We are taking stock of the day's events and will be looking at ways of improving our shows for the future. If you have any suggestions or feedback, please email us at totoyfair@gmail.com so that we can continue working towards delivering shows that you and your family will enjoy.
Sincerely,
Toronto Toy Fair Team
